About ME!

Hello! My name is Amber Chatham. I live in Alexandria, Alabama.  My family, friends, faith and education are very important to me!  I am a recent graduate from the Jacksonville State University teacher education program.  I hold a dual certification in Elementary Education for grades k-6th with a collaborative in Special Education for grades k-6.  I am the proud wife of Benjamin Chatham.  He works in business and his family, like mine, is from this area.  We are the proud parents of two wonderful boys, Jeremiah and Josiah.  I chose to become an educator because I believe it is the best way to impact the future.  You never know the difference you can make in one person's life until you have shown them love and compassion.  I strongly believe children learn best from people they know care about them.  I have had many authority figures, including teachers, be that kind and caring person for me.  As a result, I still remember their lessons to this day.  I love children and learning, so, teaching just gives me the opportunity to work in a field that incorporates both of these passions. :)
